Celebrating 80 years of remarkable member service, First Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with more than $450 million in assets and over 200 employees serving nearly 60,000 members throughout Arizona. First Credit Union was founded in 1929 by twelve U.S. Government employees in the Tucson area. Over the years our organization has grown to become what we are today; the 6th largest credit union and the 18th largest financial institution in the state of Arizona based on asset size.
Our purpose began with a desire to provide cooperative financial services to our members. Today, we continue our work with the dedication and belief that each MEMBER COMES FIRST. Our commitment is to deliver quality products and services that are customized to contribute to each member’s personal financial needs. We work to inspire the trust of our members by working with them in an honest manner, creating a “People Helping People” atmosphere of dignity and mutual respect. Today First Credit Union offers a full range of consumer and commercial products and many convenient services including free online banking, mobile banking, online and mobile bill pay, account access at 65,000 surcharge-free ATMs through the Allpoint and CO-OP ATM networks, and shared branching at more then 5,600 location with CU Service Centers®. We have 13 branch locations in Arizona. Providing friendly and personalized service to our members has been our top priority since 1929. The goal of IMAGE is to help employers in targeted sectors develop secure and stable workforces, and to enhance fraudulent document awareness through education and training. Employees earn leave time from 12 days a year during their first year up to 30 days a year after fifteen years of service. Hourly employees are eligible to receive an attendance bonus of 4 hours of leave time per quarter for each quarter of perfect attendance.
