Company Highlights :St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center has been a symbol of quality, compassionate and world-class patient care in the "Valley of the Sun" for more than 111 years and we are excited to celebrate our fourth year as a "Best Place to Work".   The St. Joseph's leadership team is committed to its patients and their family members, but more importantly, to its employees.  We are confident in our employees who make life and death decisions every day, proud that they contribute to the health and well-being of our community, and fulfilled that they afford spiritual support while making everlasting memories—whether at the beginning, middle or end of life.  St. Joseph's is pleased to return such outstanding care to each any every employee of our organization.  It is their "Mind", "Body" and "Spirit" that has made St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center a world-class organization and a "Best Place to Work" four years in a row.

Mind: To further enhance the quality of patient care provided by our employees, St. Joseph's takes great pride in offering our employees unlimited educational opportunities throughout the lifetime of their career.  St. Joseph's Learning Institute is proud to offer all employees, regardless of tenure or employment status, Career Center services to assist in creating a personalized career map that they can follow during their employment at St. Joseph's.  Services include professional and personal growth courses, personal interest courses, a leadership academy, university accredited programs, and a School of Nursing on campus.  Financial assistance is provided to aide employees in their career map design.  Where else can an employee enroll in a free continuing education course to maintain their professional certification (Professional Development), learn conflict resolution (Personal Growth), and master Heart Health Cooking (Personal Interest), while going for their graduate degree? All these and more are available on-site at no cost or minimal cost to the employee.  It is also important to note that several of the courses offered to our employees are also offered to our employee's family members, i.e. Babysitting 101, Car Seat Safety and CPR.

Body:One is often asked "If your employees are caring for your patients, who is caring for your employees?"  At St. Joseph's, we are proud to offer an Employee Health Program that includes an on-site, full-service Employee Health Department.  There, our employees have access to healthcare providers that are specifically trained to treat healthcare professionals for both work and non-work related injuries and illnesses.  Our Employee Health Program also offers: blood-pressure and cholesterol check programs, free flu shots for employees and their family members, and on-site Weight Watchers, smoking cessation, child birth, breastfeeding, aerobic, and tai chi classes, just to name a few.  We also have an on-site walking track and several partnerships with local gyms and health clubs to provide discounts to our employees.

Spirit: As part of our Mission, Vision and Values, St. Joseph's Hospital embraces the spiritual dimension of life and is committed to providing Spiritual Care Services to patients, families, and most importantly, our employees.  St. Joseph's promotes spirituality in the lives of its employees and in the work(s) of the organization.  Our facility has a chapel and other designated space available where patients, visitors and employees may go for reflection, prayer and/or worship.  Our Chapel also holds daily Catholic Mass services that our employees are welcome to attend.  We have also cultivated an outside "Healing Garden" environment to help break down the "barriers" our patients, visitors and employees sometimes face during the day.  We mark special occasions and recognize heritage days with prayer and rituals that affirm the spiritual dimension of our organization and our mission.  We begin each gathering and meeting with a prayer or inspirational reflection and we encourage all managers and employees to participate in education opportunities that explore ways to integrate spirituality into the work environment.

COOL PERKS : One of the best work-life benefits we provide to all St. Joseph's employees is an on-site Concierge available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no charge. The Concierge services range from planning vacations and birthday parties to ordering flowers, from scheduling on-site car detailing and oil changes to assisting with concert tickets and tuxedo reservations. You name it, the Concierge is there!

Did you know that the St. Joseph's cafeteria is known to have the best hospital food in The Valley? In fact, we have started Catering by St. Joseph's, providing catering services around The Valley for weddings, parties, etc.  Where else can you focus on your work while a Concierge plans your wedding and Catering by St. Joseph's caters your special event?  Once again, we take pride in our ability to make everlasting memories, whether it’s for our patients or our team members.

St. Joseph's is a place where you can work alongside individuals who value their work and are among the most respected in their fields. The St. Joseph's leadership team also believes in providing the best facilities and amenities for our employees, patients and visitors. We believe that perks should include free covered parking, the Concierge, an on-site full-service Starbucks, and Valet parking.

It's amazing! We even hold on-site special sales events offering a variety of discount opportunities for our employees—tickets to sporting events (Diamondbacks, Suns, Coyotes, and Cardinals), family events (The Circus, Disney on Ice and others), cultural events (The Nutcracker and the Moscow Ballet), scrubs, shoes, jewelry, leather goods, books, and paintings. Most specialty sales can be made through our convenient payroll deduction process.

St. Joseph's balances challenging work with lots of fun as evidenced by our full Employee Events Calendar that includes Breakfasts with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny for the employees and their children (and sometimes their pets), New Year's Eve celebrations, Super Bowl Sunday festivities (complete with a big screen TV in the cafeteria and "tailgate" food), and our salsa cook off to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. From our autumn chili cook-off, pumpkin carving competition and employee costume contest to Take Your Child to Work Day, you just never know what to expect!

What else can we say?
