Our Proud Arizona History
M&I Bank, Arizona, opened for business as Thunderbird Bank on May 3, 1965, in Glendale, Arizona, with the goal of meeting the needs of locally based businesses and their employees.  The bank was committed to exceeding customer expectations while providing the highest quality products and services through its 13 offices in Maricopa County.  In 1986, the bank joined the M&I family.  Today, M&I Bank, Arizona has 50 branches, ranks 4th in market based on deposit share, and has over 745 employees.
