Casa Grande Regional Medical Center has been a vital part of the community for 27 years. By making a positive difference in the lives of both patients and employees, CGRMC has become the healthcare system of choice for the communities they serve.
In addition to providing patient care within its 187 all-private rooms, there is an impressive lineup of outpatient services available at CGRMC. These services provide the community with more convenient access to the latest procedures and equipment available in interventional cardiology, medical imaging, and outpatient surgery. In 2011, the facility opened Central Arizona Breast Center at Desert Reflections, a comprehensive center offering women exactly what they need to maintain optimal breast health, including a dedicated Breast Care Coordinator who navigates patients who are undergoing testing for breast cancer. Additional services include a wound center with hyperbaric chambers, a sleep lab, outpatient physical/occupational/speech therapy, full service laboratory, inpatient behavioral health services, and an urgent care center.
With a commitment to technology and quality, CGRMC is DNV accredited, and was the first hospital in Arizona to achieve the Stage 6 designation of the HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Adoption Model. CGRMC has received the Mature-Friendly Workplace Certification since 2008. This award is given to employers who demonstrate a commitment to creating a workplace environment that values the experience and skills that mature workers exhibit, in addition to attracting and retaining mature workers.
Joining CGRMC is like becoming part of a family. With a friendly, home-town atmosphere, working at CGRMC combines the advantages of working in the local community with the technology and resources of a big-city hospital. Flexible schedules, competitive pay and benefits, continual development and improvement, and a strong patient focus contribute to an environment of success.
CGRMC, under the dynamic leadership of Rona Curphy, has made a commitment to be a great place to work. In 2010, the hospital was named the Best Place to Work in Pinal County Lifestyles’ Readers Choice Awards. This award was a reflection of the positive culture that has been fostered at CGRMC starting with Rona Curphy, President and CEO, and continued by senior leadership, directors, managers and the employee team. Since her promotion to President and CEO in February 2009, Rona has stabilized the hospital’s economic status, improved the hospital’s image in the community and inspired the employees.
CGRMC is a mission-based organization with a culture built around the organization’s values of safety, excellence, and superior customer service. We are a healthcare partner in our community and as such our employees are very visible by providing education and testing at health fairs, support to our partners, and participating in community events. In addition to having an “open door policy” for employees and community members, Rona has worked hard to increase transparency to the employees by holding several employee forums each year to communicate the hospital’s progress and to motivate employees to continue to achieve the goals that have been set. Employees feel she truly cares about them and the hospital. She also makes rounds several times a year to each department’s staff meetings in order to communicate directly with employees. While economic times have been tough, Rona worked hard to reinstitute merit raises and add employee services such as Stat Doctors, a telemedicine solution for sick employees, to the benefits package. Her multiple efforts led to her selection as Business Leader of the Year for the Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce, a very prestigious award in the local community. Rona and her team continue to strive to make positive changes that will benefit the employees of CGRMC.
